DIY Modern Terracotta Planters

Terracota has been taking over decor color schemes lately from bed linens, throw pillows to wall art. I’m seeing it in boho style homes as well as modern and farmhouse. The traditional Terracota pot can be used in any setting depending on how it is styled. The farmhouse lovers give it worn finish like lime washing where modern homes change the shape of the traditional pot.

My inspiration behind the DIY were these terracotta vases from West Elm. The shapes drew my attention and it was an immediate obsession.

Then one of my favorite instagram favorites @ceciliamoyer styled Terracota vases so beautifully on her dining table. The stark contrast to her black shiplap wall and modern minimal Scandinavian styled home…. it is just breathtaking.

Below is a video and a super simple step by step to DIY the look.
