Scent is another layer of decor that adds to the comfort and coziness of your home. It also allows you to create calmness or energy depending on the scent. I wish I could diffuse the scent of calmness and human kindness into the outside air for everyone to breathe. What I can control is within these walls. A family who knows right and wrong. A family who cares about all HUMANS. A family who chooses positivity and kindness over negativity and hate. Our eyes are open. Our ears are listening. Our hearts are kind. Most importantly our actions match. I love this super inexpensive oil diffuser from target. It is so simple and so effective. If you are looking to dip your toe in the oil craze I suggest with a small investment in a simple diffuser like this one (only $18) and a couple oils. I like mixing orange, lemon and eucalyptus oils for an energetic vibe. My most favorite of all though is the Capri blue oil that makes my entire house smells like an Anthropologie store! Operation front porch 🌱 Now that triple digits are here and we have an active 3 year old who loves outside I am giving our front porch some much needed love. Happy Memorial Day Weekend! This is not a typical post but nothing say cheers to summer break more than s’mores 🏕 Cheers to the end of zoom meetings and google classroom! Enjoy the holiday weekend friends and stay safe. I will link the s’mores bar recipe in stories... mine is more of a crumble than a bar because I was too excited to eat it 😂 I also used jumbo marshmallows cut in half because that’s all I had.

Do you ever wonder if it will ever be the same? . . I haven’t gone into a public space for exactly one month. I’ve mastered the online grocery shopping and pickup routine. @target drive up has become my new walking the aisles of Target therapy. My house has never been cleaner or this organized in the history of ever. I’m loving being a virtual art teacher and spending my days home with my family. I even started working out what?! I do wonder though when I will breathe easy in the company of others in public spaces, I wonder if I’ll ever not sanitize a delivery 📦 or my groceries and I wonder how long it will be until I’m back in a classroom full of kids sharing art supplies. I don’t think my future grandchildren will ever understand why Grandma keeps 100 rolls of toilet paper on hand at all times 🤣 Back in the COVID times before you were born Grandma and Grandpa had to ration squares of toilet paper 🧻 because we couldn’t find it anywhere for months. Hope you are all safe, staying home and staying healthy friends 🥰

Hi friends 👋 I hope you are all staying safe and staying home. I have been busy this week with virtual staff meetings, figuring out google meets, zoom and google classroom to prepare for #homelearning on Monday. Stress is high for everyone... parents, teachers, kids.... so let’s all just breathe and smile through this together. Be kind to yourself as a parent, be patient with your kids and remember that teachers are human. As long as our kids feel loved and safe they will be just fine for however long this home school stuff lasts. Home learning should and will not be the same as traditional school hours. As with everything give yourself and kids a balanced day of learning, creating, playing and relaxing. Enjoy this quality time. Our children will look back and think fondly of all the time they got to spend as a family. That is the best gift we are getting from this🖤
Progress pic 🐢 Here’s my 6 month update on the 6 week master bathroom makeover project. I have come to terms with the fact I will never be one of those IG/ Bloggers that have quick project reveals...it’s just not my reality. I love how the bathroom is turning out. I don’t love how long it’s taking to finish but it’s real life. Yes I’ve been home for weeks and could have finished this already but with this project I just find I need to do a little at a time and walk away. It hurts crawling around and sitting in weird positions on a hard tile floor...the edges are tedious, touch ups galore, and a toddler on repeat “Mommy are you done yet?”. So it’s still not done and I’m headed out to the patio for sunshine and bubbles with my little.
